By default, all quotations that you prepare for your customers are stored in the Quotations list. For a better visibility of your quotation workflow, you can switch from the List view to the Kanban view. The Kanban view is a board divided into vertical lanes. Each lane represents the quotation status. Quotations are shown as cards in the lanes according to their status. You can easily change a quotation status by dragging and dropping the quotation card from one lane to another. On the Kanban board, you can also quickly view customer contact details, related documents and events.
To be able to switch to the Kanban view:
- Go to Settings > Accounting settings > Sales.
- In the Quotation section, select Use kanban for quotations check box.
- Click Quotation statuses catalog.
- In the Quotation statuses list, click Create.
- In the Quotation status (create) window, enter or select the following:
Code A quotation status ID.
You can leave this field blank. Then the ID will be automatically generated as you save the status details.
You can add this field to the Quotation status list and find a status by ID.
A number that defines the status position in the quotation workflow. The less the number, the closer the status to the workflow start and the closer the lane with this status to the left side of the Kanban view.
A status name. For instance, In progress or Completed.
A color for highlighting quotations with this status in the Kanban view.
Indicates whether this status is available in the Status field of a quotation.
For instance, select the check box if this status no longer fits into your quotation workflow. Quotations with this status will be available in the Quotations list view only.
- Click Save and close.
The Kanban option will appear in the More menu in the Quotations list.
