The Banks catalog stores a list of banks with details required for registering business transactions. For instance, a bank details are required for the following:

  • Importing bank statements from a file.
  • Exporting bank payments to a file.

To open the Banks catalog, go to Company > Enterprise > All catalogs > Classifiers > Banks. In the Banks catalog, you can do the following:

  • View banks
  • Register banks
  • Edit bank details
  • Group banks

Viewing banks

To view banks:

  • Go to  Company > Enterprise > All catalogs > Classifiers > Banks.

The Banks list shows the bank details. The details can vary depending on the list settings. By default, the following details are available:

  • BIC/SWIFT. A bank identifier code.
  • Description. A bank name or bank group description.
  • Branch. A bank branch name.
  • Phones. Bank phone numbers.

To quickly find a bank:

  • Sort the catalog by column by clicking a column header. To change the sorting order, click the header again.
  • Search the catalog using the search field above the list.

To view the bank details:

  • Double-click a bank line.

Registering banks

To create a bank:

  1. Go to Company > Enterprise > All catalogs > Classifiers > Banks.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter or select the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    A bank name.

    BIC/SWIFT

    A bank identifier code.

    Branch

    A bank branch name.

    Fill in this field if this bank is not the bank head office.

    Group

    A bank parent group.

    Groups help you classify banks by certain characteristics. For example, by territory. Then you can find a bank in the Banks list faster. In this list, groups are displayed as folders.

    Settings

    Settings required for the data exchange with this bank including the following:

    • Importing bank statements from a file.
    • Exporting bank payments to a  file.

    The list of settings is based on the Bank statement processing settings. If they are not defined, click plus.png and define them as described in Bank statement processing settings.

    Country

    A country where a bank is located.

    City

    A city where a bank is located.

    Address

    A bank physical address.

    Phones

    Bank phone numbers.

    You can specify several comma separated phone numbers.

  4. Click Save and close.

Editing bank details

To edit the bank details:

  1. Go to Company > Enterprise > All catalogs > Classifiers > Banks.
  2. In the Banks list, double-click a bank line.
  3. Edit the bank details as described in Registering banks.
  4. Click Save and close.

Grouping banks

If you register multiple banks, it can be hard to navigate through the Banks list. To make navigation easier, arrange banks into groups.

To create a bank group:

  1. Go to Company > Enterprise > All catalogs > Classifiers > Banks.
  2. Click Create group.
  3. Enter or select the following:
    • Description. A group name or short description.
    • Group. The parent group for the new group.
      To create a group at the root level, keep the Group field blank.
  4. Select Save and close.

The bank group appears as a folder in the Banks list.  To add banks to the group, drag and drop them to this folder.
