Registering manufacturing overheads rates

To register manufacturing overheads rates:

  1. Go to Production > Production > Manufacturing overheads rates.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify general details.
  4. Add manufacturing overheads rates.
  5. Specify additional information.
  6. Click Post and close.

Specifying general details

To specify general details, enter or select the following:

Field Description
Number The document ID. It is generated automatically when you post a document. You can edit it.

You can find documents by ID in the Manufacturing overheads rates list.

dated The effective date of the listed manufacturing overheads rates. The rates apply until new rates with a later effective date are added.
Company A company where the document’s manufacturing overheads rates apply.

The list of companies comes from the Companies catalog.

Allocation method The company’s manufacturing overheads allocation method.It is read-only. You can edit it in the company’s accounting policy.

Adding manufacturing overheads rates

To add a manufacturing overheads rate:

  1. On theRates tab, click Add.
  2. Enter or select the following:
    Field Description
    Business unit A department that the rate applies to.

    The list of business units comes from Departments and Warehouses catalogs.

    The Business unit field is available if Allocation method is Departmental allocation (DA).

    Cost driver

    The target cost driver. The manufacturing overheads rate will apply to each unit of this cost driver.

    The list of cost drivers comes from the Cost drivers catalog.

    GL account A GL account for registering manufacturing overheads.

    The list of GL accounts comes from the Primary chart of accounts.

    Rate A manufacturing overheads rate.

Specifying additional information

To specify a note for internal use:

  • On the Additional information tab, in the Note field, enter a note.
