2.1. Installing 1C:Enterprise

1C:Enterprise includes the components designed to develop and run applications that automate enterprise accounting and business activities, as well as personal tasks.

The first installation includes the full installation of the selected components. Then you can modify, reinstall, or uninstall some or all of the components.

IMPORTANT! When installing the 1C:Enterprise thin client from the 1CEClientSetup.exe self-extracting archive downloaded from the Internet sources, pay attention to the information about the digital signature of the file displayed by the operating system: the original file will display information from 1C Company or a trusted provider.

The installer is started automatically when you insert the installation disk into a drive. If autorun is disabled on your computer, run autorun.exe (autorun on Linux operating system). The program prompts to choose the installation method: quick installation and startup, or custom installation.

The Quick Installation and Launch (recommended) option installs the 1C:Enterprise platform and the application to the default directories.

The Custom installation option (which can be the only option if quick installation is unavailable) prompts you to select components to be installed.

2.1.1. Installing the platform

Once the installer completes the preliminary actions, it displays the welcome page.

Click Next to continue.

Further installer behavior may vary depending on the availability of previous 1C:Enterprise installations.

The installer prompts you to select the components to be installed.

In the field Install to: specify an installation directory. The installer will copy the selected components to this directory.

You can use the default installation directory or click Change to specify another directory.

Once you select the components and specify a directory, click Next. 

During the first installation, the installer suggests that you install the 1C:Enterprise component. This component includes all the platform features: thick and thin clients, as well as configuration development and administration tools.

If you do not need any customizations, click Next.

If you only need to install the thin client to connect to an infobase located on a server or a web server, select 1C:Enterprise – Thin client.

Click Next to proceed with the installation.

If you only need to install the thin client to work with a file infobase, select 1C:Enterprise – Thin client, file mode.

2.1.2. Selecting interface language

At the next step the installer prompts you to select the default interface language.

Specify an interface language to use as the default one.

Click Next,

then click Install.

The installer copies the files and creates folders and shortcuts. Then the installer prompts you to install the HASP Device Driver security driver.

IMPORTANT! You have to install the driver if you have a dongle for plugging into a USB port of this computer.

After clicking Next>, the final status of the installer is displayed. Click Finish to complete 1C:Enterprise installation.

2.2. Installation program for macOS

Client application distribution package is stored in the disk image file for macOS system (files *.dmg). The installer itself is “inside” the disk image. You cannot choose which components to install. Two distribution delivery options are available:

  • To install thin and thick client applications, and 1C:Enterprise server cluster access components. Disk image has a name clientosx_A_B_C_D.dmg.
  • To install thin client application and 1C:Enterprise server cluster access components. Disk image has a name thin.clientosx_A_B_C_D.dmg.

The A_B_C_D text in the image file name (and further, in the installer names) means the full version of the platform, the installer of which is located on the disk image file. The file with the installer distribution image for the thin client version 8.3.14.100 will be named thin.clientosx_8_3_14_100.dmg.

You need to know the name of the user with administrative privileges and the password to complete the installation. To start installation:

  • Double-click the image file. A new window with contents of the image file will open.
  • To install the client application itself, double-click the file named as follows:
    • 1cv8-client-A.B.C.D.pkg - thin and thick client application installer.
    • 1cv8-thin-client-A.B.C.D.pkg - thin client application installer.

The client application installation wizard will open. On the first page, click Next; on the second page, click Install. After you enter credentials of a user with administrative rights, the 1C:Enterprise client application will be installed.

2.3. Installing configurations

To install a configuration:

  • Run the configuration installer (setup.exe on Windows, or setup on Linux).
  • In the template directory selection dialog box, specify the installation directory.
  • Click Next.
  • When the installer completes copying the files, click Finish.

2.4. Obtaining licenses

Depending on the distribution kit type, a license is provided to the user in the form of a hardware key or a PIN for obtaining an electronic software license.

When you obtain a software license, it is issued to a computer with specific parameters, such as the name, the version, the OS serial number and installation date, the motherboard name, and the number of processors.

If any of these parameters change, you might need to obtain a new software license PIN.

2.5. Linux installation specifics

The webkitgtk-3.0.0 version 1.4.3 or later is required for Linux.

Fonts. To ensure correct functioning of 1C:Enterprise, install the fonts from the Microsoft Core Fonts set.

Use one of the following methods:

  • Some distribution packages include packages that download and install the fonts for you. For instance, ttf-mscorefonts-installer in Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint.
  • For RPM distribution kits, a spec-file project for installing the fonts is available.

    For detailed information, see http://corefonts.sourceforge.net/.

  • If the first two methods are unavailable, you can download the fonts manually (use the following link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/corefonts/files/the%20fonts/final/) and add them to the $HOME/.fonts directory of the account that you use to run 1C:Enterprise 8.

External libraries. To ensure that 1C:Enterprise 8 works properly in Linux, you may need the following libraries:
