Scope: managed applications, mobile applications, and ordinary applications.
1. We recommend that you create the Comment attribute for all documents (an unlimited length string). Users can make notes to documents in this attribute, for example, why it is marked for deletion. User acess to this attribute must be the same as to the document. If the document is read-only, the comment is also read-only. If users are authorized to write the document, they can change this attribute as well.
2. If normally users are allowed to add arbitrary texts to documents, provide separate application attributes for these purposes. For example, in Sales order, provide the Additional information attribute to make notes of agreements with a customer and avoid using the Comment service attribute.
3. In the simplest case, we recommend that you use the InputString function as an external comment text editor. If you use Standard Subsystems Library in a configuration, use the ShowCommentEditingForm procedure of the CommonClient common module.
