When you make sales, you set and manage sale prices.

In 1C:Drive, you have the following tools for managing sale prices:

  • The Product prices list.
  • The Price list tool.
  • The Pricing tool.

You can use any of the tools to register sales prices. All registered sale prices go to the Product prices list.

In the Product prices list, you can:

  • Register sale prices manually.
  • Change sale prices.
  • Activate or deactivate sale prices.
  • View sale price history.

Registering sale prices manually

To register a sale price manually:

  1. Go to Sales > Catalogs > Products.
  2. Double-click a product line.
  3. At the top of the product card, click Prices.
  4. Click Create.
  5. In the Price (create) window, enter or select the following:

    Field

    Description

    Effective on

    The date when you plan to start applying a sale price to sales documents and price lists. The price applies until a new price becomes effective.

    Active

    Indicates whether a sale price automatically applies to sales documents and price lists from the Effective on date.

    An inactive sale price goes neither to sales documents nor to price lists.

    Price type

    A sale price type from the Price types catalog.

    It determines the price currency.

    Variant

    A product variant that a sale price applies to. 

    A sale price applies to a product when you specify the product variant in a sales document.

    A list of variants is based on the Product variants list.

    You can specify a variant if:

    • The Inventory accounting by variants check box is selected in Settings > Purchases / Warehouse > Inventory (products).
    • Accounting by variants applies to a product.

    Price

    A sale price.

    The sale price currency depends on the selected price type.

    UOM

    A product unit of measure.

    A sale price applies to a product when you specify the unit of measure in a sales document.

  6. Click Save and close.

Note. You can also manually register a sale price on a product card.

Changing sale prices

You can manually change product sale prices in the Product prices list.

To change a sales price:

  1. Go to Sales > Catalogs > Products.
  2. Double-click a product line.
  3. At the top of the product card, click Prices.
  4. Double-click a sale price line.
  5. In the Price window, edit the sale price details. To learn more, see Registering sale prices manually.
  6. Click Save and close.

Note. The new price does not automatically apply to the existing sales documents. If you want to update the price, open a sales document and refill the prices. To learn more, see Prices and currency settings.

For updating sale prices in bulk, use the Pricing tool or Price list.

Activating or deactivating sale prices

When you register a sale price, you plan its effective date and decide whether the price automatically applies to sales starting from the effective date.

If you decide to apply the price, you activate it. Otherwise, you deactivate the price.

You can activate or deactivate a sale price whenever your business requires it.

To activate or deactivate a sale price:

  1. Go to Sales > Catalogs > Products.
  2. Double-click a product line.
  3. At the top of the product card, click Prices.
  4. Double-click a sale price line.
  5. In the Price window, do one of the following:
    • To activate a sale price, select the Active checkbox.
    • To deactivate a sale price, clear the Active checkbox.
  6. Click Save and close.

You can also activate or deactivate sale prices using the Pricing tool.

Note. A product can have several sale prices of the same price type with various effective dates. If you deactivate the current one, the previous active price becomes effective. It goes to sales documents and price lists.

Viewing sale price history

All sale prices that you register go to the Product prices list.

To view the Product prices list:

  1. Go to Sales > Catalogs > Products.
  2. Double-click a product line.
  3. At the top of the product card, click Prices.

The list columns can vary depending on the list settings. By default, the following columns are available:

  • Active. Indicates whether a sale price applies to sales documents and price lists from the price effective date.
  • Effective on. The sale price effective date.
  • Price type. The sale price type. To learn more, see Price types.
  • Price. A sale price.
  • UOM. A product unit of measure. A sale price applies to a product when you sell the product in this unit of measure.
  • Variant. A product characteristic such as color or size.  A sale price applies to a product when you specify the product variant in a sales document.

To quickly find sale prices:

  • Sort the list by any column by clicking a column header. To change the sorting order, click the header again.
  • Search the list using the search field above the list. You can search by price type, price, UOM, or characteristic.
