The Price types catalog is a catalog where you store selling price types.
Price types classify product prices. A product can have various prices. For example, along with a base price, a product can have a wholesale price and a price for regular customers.
In 1C:Drive, price types apply to sales documents. This determines product prices in the documents.
Prices apply to sales documents when you select a customer. This saves your time on data input and ensures a selling price is as agreed.
In the Price types catalog, you can:
To use price types, do the following:
- Register a price type.
- Assign the price type to a counterparty.
- Register a price based on the price type.
Using price types is optional. You can specify prices in your sales documents manually.
Viewing price types
To view price types:
- Go to Sales > Catalogs > Price types.
The columns of the Price types list can vary depending on the list settings. By default, the following columns are available:
- Description. A short description of a price type.
- Incl. VAT. Indicates whether the value added tax is included in prices based on the price type. For example, VAT can be included in retail prices.
- Note. Additional price type details.
To quickly find price types:
- Sort the catalog by column by clicking a column header. You can sort by any column except Note. To change the sorting order, click the header again.
- Search the catalog using the search field above the list. You can search by the price type description or note.
To view the price type details:
- In the Price types catalog, double-click a price type line.
Registering price types
To register a price type:
- Go to Sales > Catalogs > Price types.
- Click Create. The Price types (create) window is displayed.
- On the Pricing strategy tab, enter or select the following:
Field Description Description A short description of a price type. For example, a wholesale price. Currency A currency that applies to prices based on the price type. A list of currencies is based on the Currencies catalog.
VAT inclusive Indicates whether VAT is included in prices based on the price type. Note Any details about the price type. Pricing method A method that determines how to price products and services in sales documents. You have the following options:
- Manual. You specify prices manually. You can recalculate them when needed. To learn more, see Pricing tool.
- Base price-plus static. You set a base price type and markup percentage. As a result, product prices include the base price and margin. Prices are calculated only when you set them. You can recalculate them when needed. To learn more, see Pricing tool.
- Base price-plus dynamic. You set a base price type and markup percentage. As a result, product prices include the base price and margin. Prices are calculated every time you add products to sales documents.
Base price type A price type of base prices. It is used for calculating prices in sales documents.
It is available if you set the Pricing method to Base price-plus static or Base price-plus dynamic.
Markup, % A margin percentage that applies to the base price type. It is used to calculate prices in sales documents.
It is available if you set the Pricing method to Base price-plus static or Base price-plus dynamic.
- On the Note tab, specify additional details on the price type.
- Click Save and close.
Editing price types
You can edit the details of a price type. To do this:
- Go to Sales > Catalogs > Price types.
- Double-click a price type line.
- Edit the price type details. To learn more, see Registering price types.
Note. The changes do not apply to prices in the existing sales documents. If you want to update the prices, open a document and refill the prices. To learn more, see Prices and currency settings.
Setting main price type
You can set the main price type for your sale transactions. The main price type applies to a sales document if you do not assign a selling price type to a customer.
To set the main price type:
- Go to Sales > Catalogs > Price types.
- Select a price type line.
- Click Set main sales price type.
